  School Technical Education Projects to Develop Future Workforce

Sierra College Center for Applied Competitive Technologies (CACT) offers resources and projects for schools, students, employers and community members interested in learning more about local, highly-paid, in-demand technical jobs, career paths and educational opportunities. (Watch videos).

With robotics and new manufacturing practices, work environments today are clean, offer interesting and varied work, don’t require heavy lifting and provide high paying careers for young women as well as young men.

Positions in designing, operating, making and repairing automated equipment can be found in offices, clean rooms, manufacturing facilities, machine shops, power plants, ski resorts, rail road yards, utilities, in the field and at client worksites in rural, suburban and urban locations.

To help students discover interesting careers with excellent salaries in Rocklin, Roseville, Placer and Nevada counties and Northern California, Sierra College CACT supports projects that can lead to manufacturing and technical positions.
