Additive Manufacturing

To help growing companies develop products more quickly and cost effectively, the Sierra College CACT now offers Rapid Prototyping services using state-of-the-art Dimension SST 3D printers. Learn More

Sierra College CACT has also just released an Additive Manufacturing Industry Evaluation and Recommendations report that includes comparisons of personal 3D printers.

Through a partnership with Sierra College CACT, Sacramento Hacker Lab has a new 3D Printer. Hacker Lab also offers classes and events.

Ignite CTE Students' Math Skills

Find out how to seamlessly infuse math into your welding or other CTE curriculum during this practical webinar co-taught by Bill Wenzel, chair, Welding Department and Katie Lucero, chair, Mathematics Department at Sierra College. The activities were used successfully in multiple welding classes to raise students' math scores.

October Manufacturing Events

Show off your manufacturing capabilities and inspire young people to consider manufacturing careers by participating in a month-long celebration, starting on October 3 -- National Manufacturing Day.

California Continuous Improvement Forum

Be inspired by what Lean consortiums in Iowa, Maryland and California have done to save time, reduce costs, increase profits and improve quality at the California Continuous Improvement Forum. It will be held Oct 7, from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm at 914 Capitol Mall in Sacramento and the cost is $70.

At this highly interactive program, gain practical implementation tips and network with others establishing a Continuous Improvement culture.

Practical Problem Solving Training

On Oct. 8 & 22 learn a proven and structured problem-solving approach to support Lean implementation at the Sierra College CACT training with the Continuous Improvement Network (CIN). It will be held at Rex Moore Electrical Contractors at 6001 Outfall Circle in Sacramento. The fee is $240 for CIN Members, $375 for Non-Members and $280 for Government.
